Behind The Bottle

Kent Jarman
Winemaker

While our origins trace back to the Middleton Library at LSU, it did not take long for growth to rear its head in necessity. Simply put, demand quickly outweighed production and a core team was assembled.

Staying in line with their “Louisiana roots,” it was a no-brainer to bring in the talented artisan winemaker, Kent Jarman, who himself grew up in South Louisiana and later studied viticulture and oenology at the world-renowned program of UC Davis. Kent’s expertise and vast experience (beginning at Duckhorn and later transitioning to Coup de Foudre) solidified the pedigree and prestige only meant to be associated with a brand like III Rows.

Michael Casadaban
Owner

Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Michael first developed his love for wine while in residency at LSU. Friendships with Clay and Rawleigh grew into a shared dream of winemaking, turning casual appreciation into a pursuit of excellence.

Together, they partnered with Napa Valley winemaker Kent Jarman, producing their first vintage in 2013. For Michael, III Rows reflects where it all began: three friends from three Louisiana cities, united by a shared pursuit and a belief in savoring life’s moments.

Clay Chandler
Owner

Based in Lafayette, Louisiana, Clay’s journey into wine also began during residency at LSU, where he discovered a shared passion for great wine alongside his closest friends. What started as casual conversations over a glass soon grew into a vision for creating something lasting.

Clay believes that the joy of wine is found not only in the bottle but also in the stories, relationships, and moments it creates. His dedication reflects the idea that wine is more than a drink, it is an experience meant to be shared with friends and family.

Rawleigh Fisher
Owner

Based in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Rawleigh has always seen wine as more than flavor - it symbolizes friendship, passion, and place. While at LSU with Clay and Michael, his appreciation for wine matured into a vision that would eventually become III Rows.

With a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and terroir, Rawleigh has played an integral role in shaping the vision of III Rows. He brings that belief into III Rows, helping create wines that honor craftsmanship while fostering shared experiences.
